What is it all about

We provide a bespoke mini-medical conference asking and discussing the bigger questions for front line senior medics, like cultural competency and how to achieve and maintain it, our personal wellness, how we fit into a changing and developing medical world, how we wish to see it evolve, our Ideas, concerns and expectations as a front line medics, shared and personal reflection. We have a focus on cultural competency via daily peer review and short-form presentations with open discussion rather than didactic lectures. We have no medically related sponsors. We value the fact we are more than doctors and we create an environment to learn and share in, that reflects this! Wellington is the capital of NZ and represents many cultural features of NZ, Te Aro Astanga Studio is in the heart of Wellington and offers a peaceful and focused environment to explore Front Line Medicine and how we develop a better understanding of ourselves our patients and how culture influences both and their interactions.
